Château St. Gerlach | Maastricht, Netherlands
Earlier this month, the 12th century Château St. Gerlach of the Oostwegel Collection and a member of Relais & Châteaux completed a multimillion-dollar renovation to the five-star superior hotel. A mainstay near the historical town of Maastricht, Netherlands, the estate sits on 32 acres along the edge of a nature preserve in the Dutch countryside. Updates were made to all 59 hotel rooms of the 114 lodging options at the estate. The lobby bar and Restaurant Les Salons now have new looks and features. Guests can reserve any of the 11 multifunctional meeting and event rooms, including Sint Gerlachus Church, a state-of-the-art pavilion, and several vast multipurpose outdoor spaces. The hotel is ideal for large conferences, corporate retreats, wedding ceremonies and receptions, and intimate private dinner parties for capacities of 800 to 1,000 guests indoors and up to 1,300 outdoors. Also available for events and dinners is sister property Château Neercanne, just a 15-minute drive away, which boasts a Michelin-starred restaurant and seven new suites for small group stays.
