Here's a closer look at Dallas/Fort Worth's newest eateries, drinking spots, hotels, conference areas, private rooms, and other spaces available for events this spring. The new and renovated Dallas/Fort Worth venues are available for corporate parties, weddings, fundraisers, outdoor functions, business dinners, team-building activities, conferences, meetings, and more.

Chicken N Pickle
Chicken N Pickle
In January 2023, Grapevine welcomed Chicken N Pickle, or CNP for short, as identified by a marquee sign in the industrial-style space. CNP is multipurpose destination for family friendly activities and entertainment. In addition to a plethora of indoor, outdoor, covered, and uncovered pickleball courts, the facility includes cornhole, shuffleboard, and ping pong, just to name a few, to keep groups entertained. It's available for buyouts for as many as 2,000 people, and there's several private and semi-private areas throughout that can be reserved for groups of under 2,000. Take the 2,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor rooftop, for example, that can accommodate as many as 350 guests for cocktail-style events; the 500-square-foot outdoor Back Porch and Drink Alley, which each can seat up to 60; the 400-square-foot outdoor beer garden that seats 35 at picnic tables; and the 1,001-square-foot indoor Be Amazing Room, which accommodates 150 for cocktail parties.

Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar
After closing its Addison address, Pete's Dueling Piano Bar opened an outpost at Frisco's The Star in January 2023. The 300-seat, high-energy venue spans 5,400 square feet and is equipped with modern technology for live entertainment with top-quality sound, professional lighting, and state-of-the-art acoustics. This location is the first in the Pete’s five-store chain to offer a food menu in addition to the full bar offerings. Guests can choose from shareable dishes like birria nachos and loaded fries, sandwiches like a chorizo burger and a grilled cheese, and a variety of flatbreads.

Also opening at The Star in Frisco, La Parisienne Bistro & Bar is set to make its debut later this spring. Upon opening, this exquisite, French-inspired bistro will span 4,325 square feet, including an expansive patio, offering seating for as many as 200 guests. With Tiffany Blue-colored chairs and tufted banquettes, marble-topped tables, crystal chandeliers, lush greenery and florals, water features, and a whimsical mural, the space is sure to offer the charm reminiscent of a French eatery. And the menu will follow suit, with house-made pastries and other authentic French fare.

In addition, a full bar menu includes "Tito's On Tap," which pours at a precise 38 degrees Fahrenheit. The bi-level, 4,500-square-foot space seats 75 in the main dining room, with seating capacity for an additional 50 on a pergola-covered patio. In January 2023, Lowest Greenville Avenue welcomed Quarter Acre—a globally inspired, chef-driven eatery—to the Dallas neighborhood. The menu pairs locally sourced ingredients with imported items to create beautifully composed dishes like kingfish ceviche, 48-hour beef short rib, and foie gras custard pie. In addition to seasonal cocktails, the bar serves a curated wine list to pair perfectly with each plate. The 2,300-square-foot venue can seat as many as 65 and features a fresh, coastal design with details like eye-catching “dining pods,” patterned hardwood floors, and rattan bucket chairs and lighting fixtures. November 2022 saw the opening of Social Oak Wine & Whiskey Lounge in Trophy Club. This chic, upscale cocktail lounge exudes a dark and moody, speakeasy-inspired vibe thanks to velvet wall paneling, gold-chain curtains, a mix of lounge seating, and dim lighting. Here, guests can access self-serve machines that dole out 56 wines and 28 whiskeys by the pour, and the venue even offers tableside cocktail smoking. The food menu features a tapas-style, Asian-centric menu with dishes like Japanese pork belly buns, truffle pasta, and curry chicken satay. The 2,640-square-foot spot offers seating for 70 inside the swanky space, with a patio that seats an additional 50 and includes a cigar area for enjoying stogies from the on-site humidor.

The venue puts an emphasis on pizza and martinis, and dishes out all sorts of pies and slices, along with starters like charred eggplant dip and entrees like chicken parm. All of the Italian dishes are complemented by a martini off a menu featuring classic takes with a lemon twist or build-your-own versions with the choice of vodka, gin, olives, and other add-ins. Inside, the 3,332-square-foot restaurant seats 68, with room for 85 more on a covered patio. The design is classy yet quirky, complete with a custom mural on the ceiling, playful figurines spread throughout the space, and a wall of mismatched mirrors.

Naturally, the menu offers Tex-Mex favorites like chicken flautas, elote fritters, brisket tacos, and chile relleno, and freshly made tortillas are delivered daily. Margaritas are the main attraction on the bar menu, with 12 different varieties to choose from. Guests can also enjoy other Mexican-inspired cocktails, Mexican beers, and more in a 2,900-square-foot space that seats 75. Planners, rejoice—there's also an expansive resort-style patio that doubles capacity capabilities.
