With the twisted and terrifying events that have already occurred in the first two episodes of American Horror Story: Hotel, it's fitting that the show's premiere party was just as creepy—and that it took place in a hotel.
Inspired by the themes, characters, and story lines of the fifth season of Ryan Murphy's FX horror anthology, the premiere party transformed downtown Los Angeles's Hotel Figueroa into the show's fictional Hotel Cortez on October 3. Theme decor ranged from disco balls and a "blood waterfall" to severed limbs on a piano and a cake mold of a dead body in a bathtub filled with fake blood.
The event was produced, designed, and catered by Gold Sky Productions, with design guidance from Haus of Gaga.
A classical pianist played music on site, while projections of the show's signature characters—including season four's Twisty the Clown—were displayed on the wall.
