Here's a closer look at Edmonton's newest eateries, drinking spots, hotels, conference areas, private rooms and other spaces available for events this fall. The new and renovated Edmonton venues are available for corporate parties, weddings, fundraisers, outdoor functions, business dinners, team-building activities, conferences, meetings and more.

A note regarding COVID-19: Some of the venues listed here may not yet be available for hosting events due to COVID-19, or they may be operating at a lower capacity. As venues begin to slowly reopen across North America, we encourage event organizers to contact the venues to verify current capacity restrictions.

Muttart Conservatory

After being closed for nearly two years, the Muttart Conservatory reopened its doors in June. The city’s horticultural attraction underwent a $13 million rehabilitation project that upgraded the 45-year-old conservatory’s heating and mechanical systems. Besides behind-the-scenes renovations, the upgrade included a new fireplace, a living wall, a water feature in the center court and a QR code tour for guests. Culina Muttart—the cafe located at the conservatory—and the gift store were also given new looks. The 1,800-square-foot event space can accommodate 130 guests and is suited to host wedding receptions and ceremonies, gala dinners, evening corporate celebrations, cocktail parties and more.

CRAFT Beer Market
CRAFT Beer Market
CRAFT Beer Market in downtown Edmonton underwent a complete renovation and reopened its doors in June. The 12,000-square-foot venue now spans four levels and features new art, an indoor games area, a rooftop patio and more. The venue is decorated in a retro campsite theme, with murals, vintage and neon signs, and globe string lights bringing a warm feel to the space. On the main floor, the dining room and lounge area can accommodate 210 seated or 300 standing. The second-floor games area—which includes indoor bocce ball, cornhole and shuffleboard—has a capacity of 55 seated or 100 reception style. The rooftop patio, which houses another games area as well as a full bar, can accommodate 86 seated or 125 standing. In total, CRAFT Beer Market has a capacity for 251 seated or 500 standing. For private bookings, there is no rental or booking fee, but a minimum spend is required.

JustCook Kitchens opened Edmonton’s first food hall in October. Located in the downtown area, 5th Street Food Hall houses four restaurants and a market featuring local goods. The long-term restaurants are Backstairs Burger, HOM, Seitain’s and Three Foodies. The space also plans to host pop-ups and markets. Besides serving as a food hall, the venue is also available for buyouts and private events. The entire building is 5,000 square feet, but only 1,600 square feet is available to book. The event space can accommodate 70 seated or up to 85 standing, as well as an additional 30 on the patio. Inside the food hall, the environment is modern, fun and welcoming with a mix of industrial and rustic decor. The space features art from local artists and also a North Saskatchewan river replica.

Opened in August, the 5,800-square-foot space has a modern, intimate feel and can accommodate 200 guests with an additional 150 on the patio. For private events, guests can either book the private 30-person room or buy out the entire venue for a $10,000 minimum.
