As part of Today's second annual #ShareKindness campaign—which commits to the goal of inspiring one million acts of kindness across America—the Born This Way Foundation's #ShareKindness Experience was open for visitors of 30 Rockefeller Center in December. The event featured curated activities including decorating lunch bags for children in need. Guests could then pin the bags on a decorative wall.

The Lego Group created the Kindness Counter, a customized vessel into which Lego heart bricks were dropped after the hashtag #ShareKindness was used on social media. The activation also was used to track the goal of one million acts of kindness.

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas' New Year's Eve celebration included events at the Ice Rink. Guests were able to enjoy curated cocktails, seasonal food offerings, and midnight fireworks.

EventsTag, a company that produces interactive social media experiences for events, recently launched Snap Mask, a facial-recognition masking app that allows brands to offer a Snapchat-inspired experience. The company works with clients to design the mask, and the app uses 3-D facial-tracking technology to have the filter adjust to facial movement. The experience was used at the PAC-12 college football championship on December 2.

The Boston Symphony Orchestra held its opening night gala in September, raising $1.5 million. The gala dinner, created by Café ArtScience's Patrick Campbell, was served in four rooms at Symphony Hall, each decorated in different artistic themes (watercolor, charcoal, dance, and architecture) that were inspired by Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition," which had been performed by the orchestra prior to the dinner.

Design Exchange hosted its annual fund-raiser in November at the Canadian Design Museum in Toronto. "Dispatch," the event's theme, explored the country’s intersections of design, art, and culture. Each floor showcased interactive installations and multisensory experiences, while Drake’s producer DJ Boi-1da performed a live set. Proceeds from the event support DX's public and education programs.

Justin Bieber headlined a New Year's Eve party at Fontainebleau Miami Beach. The singer performed his pop hits including "Sorry" and "What Do U Mean" on a poolside stage that featured changing blue and purple lighting.

Luxury shopping neighborhood CityCenterDC hosted a fashion- and holiday-theme ice gallery event on December 10. Produced by BrandLinkDC, the event featured more than 20 sculptures designed by Ice Lab, including an ice dress modeled after Dior.

Holiday-theme sculptures included a menorah for Hanukkah.

Shoppers and guests could create holiday postcards with the CityCenterDC "Hashtag Mailbox." Using the mailbox touch screen, attendees could print mailable postcards of any photos they posted to social media using the hashtag #CityCenterDC.
